Adobe Illustrator is a vector graphics editor. Vector artwork is totally scalable and it allows you to output to any size without loss of image quality. You can use the same image for a poster or a postcard. It is the preferred tool if you want to create logos/trademarks, web and motion graphics, output to say a vinyl plotter, for making vinyl graphics and signs, for color separations when doing spot printing, illustrations, signage, advertisements, greeting cards etc. Pretty much anything apart from photographic images!

Getting to Know the Work Area: 01 Class (2 Hours)
Use the Welcome Screen.
Open an Adobe Illustrator file.

Blending Shapes and Colors : 02 Class (4 Hours)

Working with Brushes : 01 Class (2 Hours)

Save an appearance as a Graphic Style.

Working with Symbols: 01 Class (2 Hours)

Combining Illustrator CS3 Graphics with the software: 01 Class (2 Hours)
Differentiate between vector and bitmap graphics.

Place embedded Adobe Photoshop graphics in an Adobe Illustrator file.
Create a clipping mask from compound paths.
Sample color in a placed image.
Replace a placed image with another, and update the document.
