Introduction to Prepress and Printing
The importance of Prepress & Printing is fast increasing in to-day’s commercial world. It has wide usage and applications. The range of products vary from – newspapers, books, labels, business cards, stationary, inserts, catalogs, pamphlets, advertisements, carton & foil printing etc. The related activities associated with Digital designs are data imaging, book binding, plate making, prepress services etc. Firms are finding it time saving and economical to print their own newsletters and reports. Hence on completion of this course there is a wide scope of wage and self employment. The curriculum includes the required computer education and on job training to the students.
This course focuses on the process of designing, creating and preparing documents for commercial printing. Students will develop proficiency with publishing software. Topics include page layout, font and image management, color, printing processes, papers, bindings and proofing methods. Projects emphasize designing single and multiple-page documents for business and advertising such as identities, flyers, brochures, forms, catalogs, newsletters and booklets.
Routing Mode: 2 Months, 5 days in a week, 2 hours a day
Rapid Mode: 1 Month, 6 days in a week, 4 hours a day
